First, after one week of availability, sales of the September 11 National Medal have barely made a dent in the high maximum authorized mintage. The latest US Mint sales report includes the latest numbers for the September 11 National Medals, which sold 50,998 units in the first week of availability. The Julia Grant First Spouse Coins make their first appearance on the report.

A unique John Lennon Gold Coin sold for $119,780 including VAT and buyer’s premium. The coin was donated by Yoko Ono with the proceeds going to a children’s hospital.
And now for some notable auctions. First, a collection of Gold and Silver Coins of the World. The collection is nicely presented and includes 27 ounces of silver and 0.966 ounces of gold, according to the listing.
Next, a complete 1892-1916 Barber Dime Set including all of the lower mintage issues. The coins are in circulated condition and housed in a Whitman album.
Last, all six of the 1989 Congress Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins in an NGC multi-coin holder. Earlier this year, NGC stopped offering these mutli-coin holders for regular submissions.
