Police in Brazil will soon start testing a new pair of sunglasses that will help them identify criminals, the sunglasses are dubbed the ‘RoboCop glasses’ and they feature a camera built in that will use augmented reality to check faces in the crowd against Brazil’s criminal database.
The glasses are capable of scanning about 400 faces per second at a distance of up to 50 yards, and they then compare 46,000 biometric points on a persons face, the information is then compared against their criminal database.
