Collectors Universe, the parent company of coin grading firm PCGS, released their quarterly financial results. Net service revenues increased 8% in the quarter, driven by a 7% increase in coin service revenue.

Here is the transcript of the earning calls, which includes a Q&A session. The CEO answered a question about PCGS Secure Plus, formerly known as “The Big One,” stating: “It did not meet our initial expectations, but it’s already paid for itself. And it’s a nice additional feature or service for what we provide to customers.” Also, the newly established Paris office generated a loss, but is expected to break even in the second half of the fiscal year.

And now for some notable auctions. First, the better date proof 1877 Indian Head Cent graded PCGS PR64RB with CAC sticker.

Next, a 1903 Proof Liberty Nickel with medallic alignment or 180 degree rotated reverse. The coin is authenticated by NGC and graded PF 65.

Last, a complete collection (so far) of US Mint wrapped Presidential Dollar Rolls. This includes all Philadelphia and Denver Mint rolls from President Washington to Lincoln.

That’s it for another update. See you next time!
