Wearing headphones is so common today for music players and phones that we almost don’t think about it. If you are around someone that does use earphones a lot, you may have noticed that many folks listen to the music really loud when the earphones are in their ears. That isn’t good for hearing at all.

A company called dB Logic has a new set of earphones called the EP-100 that uses SPL2 technology to control the volume to prevent long-term hearing damage. The earphones need no batteries for the volume adjusting technology.
The volume control technology claims to be able to adjust volume in a manner that the listener doesn’t notice and doesn’t distort the sound quality. The earphones are available right now for about $30 and come in several colors.
