C/D: NASCAR attendance is down. Is the sport in trouble?
JR: It’s not catastrophic. Spectators are challenged with the necessities of life, and they aren’t expanding toward entertainment as they did in happier times. But I think we’ve seen the low-water mark. Subjectively, I’m seeing more people in the stands. NASCAR remains the second-most-popular spectator sport in this country.
