June 23, 2011: US Mint Sales Slowdown, Perth Mint Silver Coins, 2012 Native American Dollar

We’re back with another round up of coin collecting news and articles from a variety of sources around the internet! First, the latest US Mint sales report shows a slow down across several product categories, as the latest America the Beautiful Quarter products debut. Also, Abraham Lincoln rolls sold out, Perth Mint silver coin sales, 2012 Native American Dollar designs, Stack’s-Bowers auction highlights, the edges of coins, Canadian polymer banknotes video, gold coin hoard on display, new coin related bill introduced, and notable auctions. A new US Mint sales report is available with the latest figures for numismatic products. The 2011 Proof Platinum Eagle sales slowed to a crawl, although a price decrease may help bolster sales.

The numismatic rolls for the 2010-P Abraham Lincoln Presidential Dollar have sold out.

Silver coin sales reached a new record for the latest fiscal year at the Perth Mint. Since July 1, 2010, they have sold 10.7 million one ounce silver coins.

Last, one of the lower mintage early commemorative silver coins, the 1935 Hudson Half Dollar graded PCGS MS64.
