Nielsen have published their smartphone data, and according to the most recent figures for the month of July 2011, Google’s Android OS now makes up 40 percent of the US smartphone market, making it the most popular mobile platform in the US today.
Apple’s iOS platform has stayed the same with around a 28 percent share and RIM Blackberry has decreased to around 19 percent, Windows Mobile is now sitting at 7 percent and other operating systems at 5 percent.
