Smartphones have become increasingly more popular over the last couple of years, and the growth is smartphones is expected to continue over the next few years, and one thing that has come with the increased smartphone usage is an increased amount of data usage.
According to a recent report, 90 percent of all mobile data is used by just 10 percent of all mobile phone users, and this is expect to rise in 2011.
The study was conducted by ByteMobile, who have also come to the conclusion that around 60 percent of all traffic for 2011 will be for mobile video.
We have already seen a number of mobile networks remove their unlimited data plans, as they see mobile data traffic to continue to rise, as we use more and more data each day, and they have now placed data caps on their mobile users.
We can probably expect to end up paying more for mobile data over the next couple of years, as mobile networks struggle to keep up with the users demands, this could be one reason why many are removing the unlimited data options.
