A car accident in Malaysia caused RM 75,000 worth of coins to be strewn onto the highway. Many motorists parked their cars ran into the fast lanes, risking their lives to pick up coins.
Heritage Auctions is holding a benefit auction with the goal of raising $1 million to create an endowment for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Numismatic Collection. Someone has already donated an 1895 Morgan Dollar graded Proof 66 Deep Cameo.

Since October 2008, NGC has been capturing digital images of every coin certified. The archive has now reached an amazing 3 million coins.
During the past fiscal year, the US Mint took numerous steps to increase the supply of precious metal planchets and increase bullion production. This included adding a new silver blank supplier.
And now for some notable auctions. First, a 1927-S Standing Liberty Quarter graded NGC MS 64 FH. This issue is extremely difficult to find with “Full Head.”
A group of US Mint wrapped Sacagawea Dollar Rolls with a face value of $300. Nearly all of the coins included were not issued for circulation, but only sold by the US Mint.
