NASA probe easing into orbit around asteroid

NASA's Dawn spacecraft obtained this image of the asteroid Vesta on July 9, from a distance of about 26,000 miles (41,000 kilometers).After four years sailing through space, the Dawn spacecraft was expected to slip into orbit late Friday around a giant asteroid to begin a yearlong investigation into the origins of the solar system.
