Nissan has already released nifty renderings of the ESFLOW electric sports-car concept that’s headed for the upcoming Geneva auto show, but pictures from AllCarsElectric bring us the real deal ahead of schedule. (Check out AllCarsElectric’s full exterior and interior galleries from a pre-show event.) It looks damn good, don’t you think? The teaser images showed a front clip that looked a little ungainly; while that impression still exists after seeing these shots, the profile and rear of the ESFLOW more than make up for it. Nissan’s designers followed the classic two-seat sports-car formula, bestowing the ESFLOW with a long hood and a short rear deck. The roof is cantilevered like the GT-R’s, and falls dramatically into the back end of the car, where it meets muscular rear haunches reminiscent of the 370Z’s.
The interior images reveal a very simple layout—befitting a sports car—with a dashboard that features three big gauge pods for the driver and an infotainment screen in the center. Buttons are kept to a minimum, and it appears that carbon fiber has been deployed across the top of the dash.
This coupe borrows the lithium-ion battery pack from the Leaf, but unlike that front-wheel-drive hatchback, the ESFLOW’s batteries power an electric motor at each rear wheel. The result, Nissan says, is acceleration to 60 in under five seconds, as well as digitally controlled torque vectoring. This isn’t a concept that previews an upcoming production model, but between the estimated performance and the sensational styling, we hope that changes soon.
