Over 400 years ago, a Portuguese 2 ton galleon sank to the bottom of Drake’s Bay, California. The ship, known as the San Agustín is presumed to have been carrying a large amount of silver, gold, and other treasures. One man, by the name of Brian Kelleher claims to know the precise location of the buried wreckage.

Kelleher, a environmental engineer traced back the galleon’s exact whereabouts by deciphering the ship’s log. He thinks the treasure could be under a few layers of the bay’s floor after sinking during a large storm.
The ship itself was returning from the Philippines where it would load up expensive cargo from the wealthiest merchants in the world. The San Agustín was apparently the first contact between European explorers and the native inhabitants of the West Coast.
